How it is calculated in Philippines

The Philippines charges duty on the CIF value.

VAT at 12% is charged on the landed cost, which in practice also includes some fees such as brokerage and arrastre. This estimate uses a simplified base of value plus duty, so the real VAT will be slightly higher.

Importers must be accredited with the Bureau of Customs.
