This is an estimate, not a customs assessment. It excludes broker fees, port and terminal charges, inland transport and product certification. Rates change, and the final amount depends on the classification and value accepted by customs.

How it is calculated in Malaysia

Malaysia charges import duty on the CIF value.

Sales tax is generally 10% or 5% depending on the product, charged on the value plus duty. Some goods are exempt.

Electrical products also need SIRIM and Energy Commission approval.
