How it is calculated in United States

US duty is calculated on the transaction value, which normally excludes international freight and insurance.

Tariffs on Chinese goods changed several times in 2025 and 2026. Enter the current additional rate for your HTS code in the second field. We do not pre-fill it because it moves too often.

The MPF has a minimum and maximum per entry that are adjusted every year, so small and very large shipments can differ from this estimate. There is no federal VAT, but state sales tax may apply when you sell.
